Eligibility Criteria
Current Peer Recovery Specialist credential

Application & Review Process

  • Complete Advanced Peer Application
  • Submit a Letter of Recommendation from Peer Supervisor (PRPS)
  • Application reviewed by DHS Recovery Unit
  • Applicant scheduled for Advanced Training (UALR-MidSOUTH)

Credential Requirements

  • 35 educational hours (18 hours in Advanced Training) and additional 17 hours after Advanced Training (15.5 hours Recovery to Practices Series AND 1.5 hours Peer Ethics)
  • 500 experience hours (100 hours domain specific)
  • 25 Peer Supervision domain-specific hours (individual/group)

Once the above requirements are met, you are eligible to schedule the Advanced Peer Recovery Specialist (APR) credentialing exam.
